Greg the Gecko

by Brennan A., 5th Grade

It was a very fine day in the Land of Camelot, and Greg was planning to see King Arthur. There was one problem though. He didn’t live in Camelot, he lived far, far, far, far, far away. Then Greg realized there was another problem: he had no idea how to get to King Arthur. His best friend Charlie the Turtle* was in the room and yelled, “I HAVE AN IDEA!”
“To do what?” Greg said, with his ears still pounding.
“To meet King Arthur!” Charlie said.
“How?!” Greg replied.
“Ok, so there is a wagon coming here and guess what! It heads on a one way trip to Camelot.”
“No way!” Greg exclaimed.
“So how do we get on? We hop on when nobody’s looking.” Charlie said. So later that day the boys hopped on the train as planned. The ride was so long and boring that Greg started playing hockey and fell off the wagon. Then Charlie saw that Greg fell off the wagon and jumped off to follow him but he landed on his head, Greg raced over to Charlie and told him they were going to camp there that night.

Will Charlie and Greg get to Camelot and meet King Arthur?
Find out next time, with Charlie and Greg.
